The Amazon Rainforest is at its tipping point, beyond which it will suffer an irreversible collapse. Despite this, and the forests vital importance to the global climate, oil and gas extraction continues, fueled by international capital.
Tiger Moth provided key research that helped identify fourteen banks financing oil and gas expansion across the Amazon basin and quantify their impacts. Using this data the report the authors were able to assign and communicate the risk each bank poses.
